The prospect of earning thousands of dollars a day can seem too good to be true and the Wealthy Affiliate scheme found at Wealthy Affiliate can appear to be too good to be true for some. But is it to be believed? Here is some reaction from people across the Internet who have been there, done that, paid the $30 a month membership and have lived to tell the tale.

One user responded to somebody who was asking a question about a wealthy affiliate scam and said: Wealthy Affiliate is certainly not a scam. “The fact that you pay for something doesn’t define it as a scam. You pay for a college education. Is that a scam? Wealthy Affiliate is, in my opinion, one of the premier educational sites on the Internet providing educational material and software for internet marketers.”

Another user was quick to agree, but disagreed that it was light work and would get you raking in millions of dollars without lifting a finger, saying: “This is not a “get rich quick” type of thing. But if you actually spend some time trying hard, then I’m sure you could succeed.”

Despite the supportive praises from the above two users, some people, despite not using the site itself, were warded off by past experience. One user who had been stung by a scam said that if you had to pay for a scheme that had the potential to make you money, it probably was a scam. The user added that they had learned that the hard way and had never believed in any of these systems again.

As with all similar websites, testimonials that are promoting the services offered on the homepage could often be biased, but many users are rapidly willing to express their delight at using the service.

“Having spent years as an affiliate marketer, I thought there would be little for me to learn at Wealthy Affiliate – was I wrong!” were the words of one photographed member on the website.

As always, search engine research reveals a very controversial selection of opinions about the services offered. Some are full of support, whilst other blogs and forums have nothing but criticism for the Wealthy Affiliates setup. Either way, the task of deciding which opinion is to be believed is far from simple.

However, if you are hesitant to make an investment (and in this recession, many people are), bearing in mind going on independent forums and asking more questions about whether Wealthy Affiliate is a scam could help you to get an view that isn’t trying to sell or persuade you. You are more than likely to find people who have impartial advice to give you. Should you even decide to go ahead and become a member of the scheme, you may even be able to find out some handy tips on how to make the most of it.

In summary, it really is difficult to decipher fact from fiction. In truth, it is down to you individually to assess the risks of your situation before finalising any decisions. Just remember the importance of thinking before acting upon any impulses – however tempting they may be!
