It’s possible to create interesting and relevant articles promoting your website and submit them to article directories. The benefit of submitting an article you own is that you are able to put an author byline and give credit back to your website so that interested people can contact you for more information.

Potential clients looking for information on the subject that you wrote your article on, will quickly see that you have the experience and knowledge to handle the job. You’ll find that your article can get picked up by multiple blogs, and the increasing traffic you get, especially from very high traffic blogs can be astronomical.
The number of article directories varies but is probably in the thousands. Don’t just put your article on one article directory, because if you have the ability to work with a few hundred you can really skyrocket the traffic and hopefully eventually the resultant sales and profits with your articles.
