One of the first things you will need if you are going to get into the Internet Marketing busines is hosting for your website. You will really need either a website or a blog if you intend to sell anything on the Internet. I know you will find people that tell you you don’t need a website, but of course they have a website and you really do need one if you plan to stay around awhile.

You will need a domain name…you can find where to get them on the Free Resources Page… and a place to host this domain. If you are brand new and don’t understand this, do not worry it will get easier as you read more.

There are many hosting companies. Some good and some not so good. Two of my favorite hosting companies are Kiosk and Hostgator. They both have Cpanel and that is one feature you definitely will need, so do not sign up with a hosting company that does not offer Cpanel. The support at both companies is good, but I would rate the support at Kiosk above any other company. They have live support in their support room almost 24/7/365. They will do their best to solve your problem right there with you online. Never seen anything like it before.

Both companies offer several different hosting packages. Just read all the information and decide which one best fits your needs. Remember if you put what you learn into action, your business will grow. Think big, however stay within your budget. You can always upgrade later, if you need more space, bandwidth or features.

One of the the next things you will need is a good Autoresponder. Autoresponders are used to follow up with people that join your affiliate program or purchase something from you. You will need an Autoresponder to start building your mailing list. It is an automated way to stay in touch with people that you are trying to build a relationship with. You will find that building relationships with people that you meet in your online business is the most important thing you can do. I use and find that a good portion of the successful marketers use Aweber for their Autoresponder service. GetResponse is also a very reliable Autoresponder service.
