The man sat down at his office desk and pulled the bills from their envelopes- Electricity, credit card, telephone. He reached across for his monthly tally sheet and began to sign up each payment. If he gave them all he’d have $117 left and 3 other weeks to pay day. The new shoes he’d assured his wife would have to wait a little more but at least he still held down a job.
The story is right for many people. I myself kept a sheet of paper on my desk at work and every morning take the bills in and try to play with the figures.
