Will there be people like me?
Cruising has become so popular, and today’s cruise ships so advanced in what they offer and how they’re designed, that you’ll find all types of people aboard. Cruise ships don’t cater to certain types of people – no more than a popular hotel or resort does. More importantly, the newest ships are so well designed you can find many intimate places to relax or socialize. As a result, you can be as private or as sociable as you’d like.Yes, and in abundance. Most cruise lines conduct exciting and well-organized children’s programs aboard their ships which are specially designed for kids from toddlers to teenagers. They are well supervised and packed with suitable youthful activities.

Can I bring my kids or someone to help with them?
A.Friends and family are welcome but please keep in mind the childcare needs of your child. It is difficult to keep an eye on toddlers, babies seem to love to nap at SS and older kids love to get their hands in there to help.A.

Should I accept gigs at birthday parties?
A lot of storytellers won’t touch birthday parties because they don’t pay that well and they can be tricky. But a few like doing them now and then. The kids can be fun and the audience is usually more intimate because it’s small. Suggestions for planning a party program: 1. Insist on being the first thing that happens. Get the children before they get the cake etc.Kathryn Kittinger is experienced and works well in many lighting conditions. If it is sunny, her assistant holds a diffuser to help block the direct sun from your child’s face. If it is overcast, the clouds act as a natural diffuser for her work. If the weather is too misty, too dark or rainy, she will reschedule your appointment. Also, when selecting your appointment time, make sure to consider your child’s normal routine.PJ has some responsibilities and family obligations this year that will keep her from devoting time to the awards.

What about my kids – do they come into the service with me or is there something going on for them?
Our children’s ministry provides an exciting experience for infants, toddlers, and kids through sixth grade. The Preschool Children’s Church meets every week and the Elementary Children’s Church meets every other week. This allows you to get the most from your experience at Crossgate while your child is receiving high levels of care, attention, teaching – and fun!In part I mean, okay, so there are tons of us who are learning about the Third World, what’s going on with the war, the NAFTA agreement, the various nuances about the Presidential candidates, the sluggish housing market, how to make squash enchiladas..

Didn’t PJ used to run the awards? Why do we send the entries to Oklahoma now?
PJ has some responsibilities and family obligations this year that will keep her from devoting time to the awards. Lisa Harper has graciously stepped in to help. All of the inquiries and packages should now be directed to her. And incidentally, although Lisa’s significant other is a children’s musician of renown, we have taken steps to assure that there is no conflict of interest in regard to the judging of the awards. Please don’t, and no, they won’t. We just can’t afford it.Tots Time – in the winter, play equipment is available to use Tuesday and Thursday mornings in the winter at the county building at the corner of Platt and Washtenaw. The cost is $2 per child, no charge for adults.
