 Powered by Max Banner Ads

While I don’t particularly like the term “Newbies”. It has become pretty much accepted in the Internet marketing circles to apply to any one that is just getting started in Internet Marketing. So about eight years ago, I guess I was a newbie even though I didn’t realize it at the time. Sometimes I still feel like a newbie.

On the Internet things change so fast that it is impossible to keep up with it all even for veterans that have been around a while.

But in a very short list, here are five things to think about.

#1. Take it slow.

If there is one thing above all the others that I would recommend you do, it is to take it slow and think about what it is you want to accomplish.

Now of course, I know everyone wants to become a millionaire by next week and there are people that will guarantee you that they can do that for you. All you have to do is send them $997 and sit back and wait. They will do all the work for you and you will make all the money.

Now come on. Think about it. Why would anybody do all the work to make you rich? Of course if enough people fall for their scheme, they may become rich, but you won’t. But it is guaranteed you say. Sure it is. But what good is a guarantee if you can’t find the guy or the website when you want your money back.

#2. Learn The Difference.

Now don’t get me wrong. I certainly don’t want to imply that all $997 programs are a rip off. They are not. One of the big differences between (that term again) newbies and Internet Pros is the ability to tell the good programs from the bad. That only comes with time and observing different marketers over the years

Does that mean that there is no way to make money for years? No it does not. It only means that you need to do a lot of checking on programs and program authors before you reach for you wallet.

#3. Check The Warrior Forum

One of the best places to find good information on programs, new software and other Internet related subjects is the Warriors Forum.  I hardly ever buy software or other programs without first checking the Warriors Forum to see what other marketers are saying about it. Most of the members over there will not pull punches. If it is good they will say so and if it is bad they will also say so and why. It is one of the best sources for information that you will find on the Internet. It is free to join. All you have to do is go to the Warrior forum and register. (See Bio)

You will also find some good offers over there from members. Many times before a product is launched to the public, there will be a WSO (Warriors Special Offer). These are legitimate offers at a discount from the regular price and worth checking out

#4. Use Google Search.

There are ways to make money on the Internet from the start, but the big and I do mean BIG problem is determining which program or system is good and which ones are not. That again is why I suggested that you keep your money until you feel pretty good about some program or system. Check the author out. Go to other forums that might have information on the program. Do a Google search for the program and for the author. Check it out every way you can think of.

#5. Don’t Give Up.

It is a sad fact that over 95% of Internet Marketers fail. I believe the reason this is true is because of just what we have been talking about. They buy a program and it doesn’t make any money right away, so they give up and go buy another. This cycle just keeps repeating itself either until all the money is gone or the marketer is so disgusted they quit.

I know this happens, because it happened to me. I am ashamed of all the money I have thrown away on useless programs. I do have some very good programs now that I have started following the advice that I give above. So you see I am not just theorizing here. I have been though it myself.

About a year ago, I got involved with a really nice group of people over at Kiosk Hosting Company. They taught me a lot about Internet Marketing. But, that is an article for another day.

In conclusion, look before you leap. Save your money until you are sure it a good program that you really need and or going to use. No matter how good a program is, it won’t do you any good just sitting on your hard drive. You have to act. You have to put that program to work. That means you will have to work too. Check out forums on your topic. Follow other marketers that you know are successful.
