How to Make Money with No Money Up-front: Affiliate Programs
If you’ve done any investigation at all of online marketing, you’ll know scams abound, no matter where you look. Unfortunately, unscrupulous marketers feed on the multitudes of people who come online every day looking for ways to improve their lives. It’s sad, because millions probably get duped into spending money unnecessarily, only to pursue schemes that never yield any fruit. Fortunately, there are ways you can make money on the Web with no up-front investment. This should be good news to those who have had run-ins with Web scheme run by scam artists!
But the line between scam and just an ill-advised business opportunity can sometimes be thin. An example of this is the controversy over an web business opportunity named Site Build It. Some people think that one or more people have created a sitesell.com affiliate review that wasn’t entirely accurate. The owner stepped forward to defend himself and he could be totally right. But it’s up to every individual to do their own research before paying money for Internet “opportunities”.
One of the most successful ways I’ve found to make money online is above-board and also relatively simple to implement. I write for money on HubPages. HubPages — a community blogging site — makes it easy to create content and generate ad revenue. You can create as many or as few content “hubs” (pages) as you want. Each hub has the potential to make up to five forms of revenue: Amazon and eBay items, any affiliate marketing program you want to choose, Google AdSense ads and Kontera ads. You get the revenue from 60% of the page views that generate income and HubPages gets the other 40%. The exception to that would be if you implemented an affiliate program; One hundred percent of income generated by clicks from an affiliate link on a hub would belong to you. Writing good hubs takes a bit of practice but in my opinion, the money you can earn over time makes it worth the effort.
There are many affiliate programs out there but I like to use RevResponse on my hubs, because people who sign up get great free information. When anyone clicks on your links and qualifies to receive free RevResponse publications or white papers, you get paid. It’s just that easy. The qualifying part is the catch though, so you have to understand that aspect. To learn more about the RevResponse rules, read this RevResponse affiliate marketing review. The information in the review will help you know whether the RevResponse program is right for your audience.
