The new face of web publishing is owned by the art of blogging. Not too long ago, creating and publishing websites were complex and needed extensive technical knowledge. But now, everything has changed and even a computer novice can create web pages easily. Blog providers have come up with various themes and templates and anyone can get a blog, write or copy paste from offline documents and publish, all within a few hours.

The internet was long seen as a revolutionary concept and blogging brought freedom of speech into online mediums. Blogging increased interactivity, social networking and global communication, bringing people from all over the world together in one place. The introduction of RSS feeds catapulted blogging into a better platform, with bloggers getting the opportunity to broadcast and directly promote their blogs to visitors.

Blogging became a money-generating concept through network building and email marketing. With the introduction of blog marketing techniques, people began to reduce the use of mass mailing, autoresponder and direct online advertising software. The need for link exchange methods are also much less for blog promotions, because many are attracted to interesting blogs and subscribe to it, in turn leading to more backlinks as well.

Through affiliate marketing and direct products/services selling, blogging has become a way to earn money. Many businesses are now maintaining blogs pertaining to there specific industries and use these blogs to promote and sell products and services on a regular basis.

A blog is a place to express thoughts. Anyone can maintain a blog and talk about anything they feel like. Choosing a topic for a blog is easy, especially if you know what you would like to talk about. Some individuals prefer to write for blogs which talk about just about anything. These blogs are highly interesting and engaging to a reader, because the content is varied and the shared ideas keep flowing all the time.

In comparison, some prefer to have singular blogs, focusing on just one topic. These topics can be anything from advertising and business to computers and travel. This type of blogs are truly interesting only to those who are keen on that specific topic. A more interesting blog would be one where anyone can join in on the discussions and contribute.

There are blogs which allow guest authors to contribute interesting write-ups. General readers are also enticed to participate in blogging, to make it more lively and conversational. Comments, suggestions and forums are commonly available, in relation to blogs. Such blogs are able to increase the worldwide community participation to great heights.

You can write a blog for money or just for fun and you can be a blogger regardless of who you are and what you do. Blogging can be done throughout each day or just a few hours every week. It gives some simple joy, encourages online socialising and provides information. Blogging is the new way of getting the global communities together and the introduction of audio and video blogs have made blogs even more popular.
